With six studios in Singapore and three in Malaysia, Jal Yoga aims to create a class space that adapts to the needs of their students.
Jal Yoga is one of the first Asian yoga studios to offer Infrared Heat Yoga classes, a form of hot yoga that incorporates infrared technology to create a non-stifling heated space for lessons.
Jal Yoga, Singapore’s premier 3-in-1 yoga, Pilates, and Barre concept studio, is making history as the first Asian yoga brand to expand into multiple countries, including Malaysia and Indonesia.
Founded in January 2018 by Pardeep Fogat and his wife Jasmine Loh, Jal Yoga has swiftly become a guiding light for individuals on a transformative journey to discover their innate potential.
One of their standout contributions to the wellness landscape is Jal Yoga’s introduction of infrared heat yoga, celebrated for its therapeutic properties, with benefits including—but not limited to—improved circulation, flexibility, and cellular health, as well as healthier skin.
Infrared heat yoga also has the added benefit of helping reduce cellulite and providing a workout, which helps with weight loss and pain management. This innovative approach to yoga promotes physical healing and deepens the mind-body connection.
Jal Yoga remains steadfast in sharing the profound benefits of infrared heat yoga with the Malaysian community, contributing to a healthier and more harmonious society.
“We had one goal in mind: to create a welcoming space where everyone, no matter their fitness level, age, or body shape, could experience real yoga,” Pardeep, co-founder of Jal Yoga, shares.
“Our name comes from the Sanskrit word for water, Jal. It is formless, seamless, and freely flowing to adapt everywhere, and at Jal Yoga, we want to help people tap into their ability to be like water and adapt.
“We aim for people to leave each class feeling refreshed and empowered, and our teachers utilise intention, meditation, pranayama (breathwork), and asana (yoga poses) to make that happen,” he continues.
Currently, Jal Yoga operates out of a total of two studios in Malaysia. These are The Row Studio in Kuala Lumpur, which is also Jal Yoga’s flagship studio, as well as Megah Rise in Petaling Jaya. Students can choose from a selection of three different rooms, depending on their choice of session: Agni, Vayu, or Prithvi.
The Agni room, which derives its name from the Sanskrit word for fire, is installed with infrared panels for heated classes, while the Vayu room, named for the Sanskrit word for wind, lets you take flight in aerial yoga and barre. Prithvi, named after the Sanskrit word for earth, is specially reserved for private sessions.
In addition to authentic yoga practises, Jal Yoga offers a diverse range of complementary practises, catering to the varying needs and preferences of the community. This includes exercises such as aerial yoga, reformer pilates, mat pilates, and barre.
This diversity ensures that every individual finds a practise that resonates with them, making Jal Yoga a symbol of transformation, unity, and holistic well-being.
Their commitment extends beyond its studio walls, however, as they embrace collaboration within the health and wellness community both locally and across the causeway.
By forging partnerships and connections, they amplify the message of holistic well-being, creating an inclusive and supportive network amongst and for those seeking to take the first step towards it.
Jal Yoga welcomes Malaysians to join the wellness revolution and experience the transformative power of yoga therapy, diverse practises, and the unique therapeutic properties of infrared heat yoga.
