The brand also officially debuts its sub-brand Alt.o in Malaysia which features larger statement pieces perfect for roomier homes.
This month, Commune Lifestyle relaunched its brand in Kuala Lumpur at a swanky new location conveniently located on Jalan Maarof in Bangsar.
The relaunch encapsulates Commune’s vision to provide premium home living pieces that fit a variety of different aesthetics. Proudly designed and handmade in Southeast Asia, Commune’s pieces reflect the spirit of creativity and the brand’s dedication to sustainable materials and authentic craftsmanship.
Established in 2011, Commune LIfestyle was born from a mission to connect people from all walks of life. Hailing from Singapore, Commune’s deep understanding of the diverse tastes and personalities that come from watching a cosmopolitan society quickly develop can be seen in its many collections that celebrate style through the decades.
Over the past 12 years, the brand has worked tirelessly to bring together function and form through regional artisans — creating beautiful spaces that cultivate memorable moments.
In 2014, Commune opened its first location in Malaysia where many of its pieces are made, in an effort to provide Malaysians with more access to quality pieces.
This year, Commune is officially reopening its hero showroom in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Each collection celebrates the melting pot of cultures that come together in this vibrant city through a variety of designs and materials.
Amongst the collections that can be viewed at the showroom are the CRÈME collection which embodies classic Scandinavian design and the VOLTA collection which defies the norm and celebrates a harmony of bold contrasts in its coined garage-chic looks.
Also relaunching at Commune’s showroom is its sub-brand, Alt.o by Commune — which features larger pieces for larger homes that challenge conventional design rules.
The champion of Alt.o by Commune’s essence is the TIERRA collection which channels mid-century modernity, sleek minimalism, and relaxed bohemian touches in its luxe desert-chic look.
Another collection under the sub-brand is the SIENA collection which aims to commemorate the pulse of the coastal city of La Spieza through the use of honest, raw materials.
Supporting the brand in Malaysia and in an effort to enable customers to create tech-enabled residences, are its partners Sonos and Prism+ Malaysia — with products from each respective brand proudly displayed throughout the Commune KL showroom.
“We want Commune to be more than just another home living brand in the market. Our goal for Commune was always to encourage creative expression and deeper connections with the communities around us. Our launch party served as the beginning of the multifaceted programming we’re planning at our Bangsar location.
“By offering a space that allows local artists, Web 3.0 groups, young entrepreneurs, and innovators to gather and learn from each other — we hope to establish Commune KL as a hub for Malaysian creatives to expand and grow,” said Gan Shee Wen, COO and CMO of Commune Lifestyle.
