Buildremote, a remote manager training company, has officially released its 2023 list of the “Best Remote Companies To Work For.” After an extensive analysis of 3,920 companies, Buildremote awarded 30 Gold Medals to remote-first companies and 40 Silver Medals to remote-friendly companies.
The selection process involved assessing each company based on two critical criteria. The first was “remote-ness,” which categorised companies into “remote-first” or “remote-friendly,” depending on their level of commitment to remote work.
The second was “company benefits,” where each company was assessed based on the offering of the 20 most desirable employee benefits, as curated by Buildremote.
Remote-first companies were eligible for the coveted Gold Awards, while remote-friendly companies could receive the Silver Awards. To qualify for either distinction, a company needed to offer at least 13 of the 20 desirable benefits, putting the recipients in the top 2% of the Buildremote database.
Among the 30 Gold Medal awardees, notable winners include Atlassian, GitHub, Buffer, Shopify, and CrowdStrike.
These companies operate remotely and invest significantly in the welfare of their employees by offering benefits such as company retreats, work from anywhere policies, four-day weeks, asynchronous work, flexible schedules, sabbaticals, unlimited time off, health insurance, and more.
The comprehensive list provides valuable insights for job seekers to find a great company to work for, and for managers who wish to adapt to the changing needs of the workforce.
